Coinciding with the 80th anniversary of the end of the Pacific War, the series traces the original path of the American naval advance northwards toward Japan. Filmed across battle-ravaged locations like Guadalcanal, Truk (Chuuk Lagoon), Papua New Guinea, and Peleliu, the series documents the massive "scrapyard of war" that still exists today.
