По умолчанию Rfid Application In Fixed Assets System

Recently, many manufacturers of fixed asset management system have started to use RFID as the carrier of asset tags. However, many customers do not understand what RFID is, what advantages it has when it is used in the inventory of RFID fixed asset system, or what disadvantages it has. Today, I will give you a general introduction.
RFID, commonly known as radio frequency identification technology, is the abbreviation of radio frequency identification. Its principle is to conduct non-contact data communication between the reader and the tag to achieve the purpose of identification. In this way, the advantages of RFID in fixed asset management can be seen.
Advantage 1: the counting efficiency is high. The non-contact reading means that it can be sensed within a certain distance without scanning one by one. Therefore, the efficiency of the fixed assets counting will be relatively high. According to the statistics of the relevant institutions, the RFID reading efficiency is about 10 times higher than the scanning efficiency. That is to say, it took one day to count the fixed assets, but now it only takes one hour.
Advantage 2: RFID itself can store a lot of information, similar to our mobile phone memory card (not so large), so we can write the relevant information of the asset into the tag memory.
Disadvantage 1: first of all, the price is definitely high. Generally, passive RFID tags used in fixed asset management are high-frequency and metal resistant tags. The price of each tag is between 2 and 10 yuan, while the price of the same ordinary waterproof tag is less than 10 yuan, a difference of several tens of times. Based on 10000 assets, the input cost is at least tens of thousands of yuan. This is only the difference between the price of the tag and the cost of handheld terminals and printers, which will be quite expensive, Moreover, the cost of consumables is a long-term investment, so it is obviously not cost-effective to manage general office assets. Moreover, the inventory frequency of fixed assets of general units is not high, which is once a year at most, and some even once a year.
Disadvantage 2: the passive RFID Tag style is relatively single, and it can't customize a unified corporate image like the pet tag. Moreover, it has certain weaknesses in waterproof and wear-resistant aspects, especially for office desks, chairs and computers, which often need wet towels to wipe, it is easy to damage the tag.
Disadvantage 3: since RFID is an inductive scanning, it is often impossible to find the missing scanning in time in actual operation, and it needs to be checked when necessary. Compared with the alignment scanning of two-dimensional codes one by one, the missing scanning rate is increased, and the workload of inventory checking is increased to a certain extent.
To sum up, I suggest that RFID and QR code waterproof tags be purchased in combination with the actual situation of the fixed assets of the company. For example, when there are many equipment in the machine room or there are many equipment that are inconvenient to scan, and the budget is relatively abundant, passive RFID tags(more info) can be considered. For the company with more general office assets, it is OK to scan the code in a common way, which is not only cost-effective but also widely used. No matter what identification method is adopted, it is only an auxiliary management method. When we choose a set of fixed assets management system, the most important thing is the RFID system. Whether the system is easy to use, the main consideration is whether the RFID functions are complete, whether the system architecture is stable, whether the operation interface is simple and friendly, etc. These are the keys to choose a set of systems, because more than 80% of our asset management is completed through the RFID system, The frequency of code scanning is very low.
Take OPRFID RFID fixed assets system, which is the most widely used in the market, as an example. From the purchase of fixed assets to the disposal of scrapped assets, there are business processes. All processes are visualized. There are no more problems such as assets moving around and not knowing where to go, unclear person in charge of assets, detailed basic information, and missing asset records. This is our original intention of using fixed assets management system, As for whether to use two-dimensional code (bar code) or RFID to check or scan, it can be realized in their homes anyway. If they have money, they can buy it. If the budget is tight, they can choose the one with high cost performance and meet the daily management.
