Arise, America! Sitting all day is killing you. You should adopt a standing gaming desk for the same reason I did. In reality, every minute spent sedentary reduces your life expectancy by many years.
The average individual sits for more than 19 hours every day.
Sitting for extended periods inhibits the body's manufacture of an enzyme called L.P.L., which is essential or something.
Even frequent exercise is insufficient to counterbalance the negative effects of all this sitting; therefore, regular exercise is meaningless and dumb. (I don't exercise.)

Indeed, sitting is now referred to as the new smoking. The only difference is that smoking looks hip, is a wonderful way to meet people, and isn't that harmful for you. (I smoke.) Sitting, on the other hand, looks foolish and humiliating, as if you're ashamed to admit your height, and is detrimental to your health. Simply put, the human body was not designed to be folded up for extended periods of time, like a sad pretzel. It was intended to be handled as if it were a fine pretzel stick, always perfectly straight.
I, too, used to be sceptical of standing desks. But, after making the change four days ago, I instantly noticed a change in how I felt: I was much more self-righteous.
Your metabolism will speed up at a stand up desk. (The tingling sensation in your feet is due to your body burning calories.) Soon, you will be able to eat anything, anytime you like. Even more, you may form a large ball out of Pringles and eat on it throughout the day. (I perform these tasks.)
I used to arrive home from work weary. Now I am bursting with vitality. Instead of collapsing on the couch, I pace in ever-tightening circles throughout my apartment all night. I simply cannot sleep with the knowledge that there are still people utilising traditional sitting desks!
Their opposition frustrates and angers me, as transferring to a height adjustable desk is not difficult in the least. You simply stand up, preferably at an office-wide meeting, and proclaim, "I'm making a significant lifestyle change because I value my health, even if everyone else is too cowardly to do the same!" Then, obtain a electric desk and utilise it. Folks, it's that simple. Some versions of standing L shaped desks can also be converted to sitting desks when necessary. Never the less
I know what you're thinking: If I'm the only one in my workplace working while standing, won't I appear odd? Not as peculiar as you may appear when you collapse at your computer due to sciatica and weak calves. Several of your coworkers have undoubtedly passed away in this manner.
Still requiring persuasion? Consider the fact that in the nineteenth century, everyone employed standing desks with drawers. In case you don't know your history, the nineteenth century was a wonderful, problem-free era. The tyranny of sitting was not imposed upon us by evil corporate interests until the present era. True, I'm discussing the Big Office Chair. Chair factories emit air and water pollution on a daily basis in order to produce sedentary death machines. A chair is unnecessary when using a standing workstation. That is better for the environment, so you may be proud of that as well.
Do yourself a favour and take a moment to consider who stands up: George Washington (to the British); amusing comedians who reflect society in their humour; Bob Marley. Consider seated individuals: Caligula seated on his throne, Jabba the Hutt, men at strip clubs, and dogs. Which group do you prefer to be a member of?
My decision was straightforward. I will continue to utilise a standing desk small unless someone describes a WebMD article that convinces me otherwise. In a few months, I intend to transition to a treadmill desk, which will be an excellent method to prepare for the future use of a swimming desk. By this time next year, I hope to be dangling from a ceiling-mounted rock-climbing desk, my body bloated to twice its normal size from all the extra L.P.L. I'm making.
Unless you make the adjustment from sitting to standing by this time next year, you will virtually likely be dead by this time in the following year.
