Термососна быстро темнеет на солнце или держит цвет?
 

Кто сталкивался с термососной? Мне очень нравится ее темный, коньячный цвет. Хочу такой планкен на фасад. Но как он себя ведет на солнце? Не темнеет еще сильнее? Или, наоборот, выгорает добела? Стабильность стабильностью, но не хочется, чтобы через год цвет стал непонятно каким.

Термососна цвет не держит, как и любое дерево. Термообработка дает ей геометрическую стабильность (ее не ведет, не коробит) и защищает от гниения, но от ультрафиолета она не спасает. Без защиты она не темнеет, а наоборот, очень быстро выгорает. Становится серебристо-серой, теряет всю свою красоту.

А, то есть стабильность – это про геометрию, а не про цвет. Понял. Значит, ее обязательно надо чем-то покрывать, чтобы сохранить этот темный оттенок? Обычное масло для дерева пойдет? Или для "термички" нужно что-то специальное? И как часто придется обновлять? Не хотелось бы каждый год весь фасад перекрашивать. Это же главная причина, почему ее берут – типа ухода меньше.

Ухода меньше в том плане, что ее не поведет. А вот цвет защищать надо так же, как и у лиственницы, а то и тщательнее, потому что контраст "было/стало" очень заметный. Обычное бесцветное масло не поможет. Нужен состав с мощным УФ-фильтром.
А УФ-фильтр – это, по сути, пигмент (колер). То есть тебе нужно тонированное масло, которое будет поддерживать ее оттенок. И чем темнее пигмент, тем дольше защита. Критически важно – красить ДО монтажа, со всех сторон, особенно торцы. Обновлять придется. На южной стороне – готовься раз в 2-3 года.
На северной – раз в 5-7. Если она уже посерела, то вернуть цвет можно только шлифовкой.
