Intervals, Scales & Key Signatures Students will learn accidental intervals, key signatures up to four sharps and flats, and technical names of scale degrees
Chords, Harmony & Cadences Students will explore primary triads, voice ranges, four-part harmony, and recognize perfect and plagal cadences.
Rhythm, Composition & Transposition Students will develop rhythmic skills, create melodies, and learn to transpose music for different instruments and voices.
Form & Musical Terminology Students will study rondo form and expand their knowledge of musical terms for better music interpretation.
Requirements
Students should complete AMEB 1st and 2nd Grade Theory or have equivalent knowledge of key signatures, intervals, and basic chords. A solid understanding of music notation and rhythm is recommended.
