Currently, Metropol FM is broadcasting in eight German cities, including Frankfurt and Darmstadt. It is a 100% subsidiary of the Media Union. A total of 25 employees are behind the mics. It is also a very lucrative advertising medium, with a reported 70 percent market share. Its competitors include DWFM and FM Deutschland. With a little luck, Metropol FM will soon become Germany's premiere radio station, rivaling FM Deutschland in the ensuing years.
