What makes someone a strong sales team leader?
I’ve seen very different types of sales leaders — some are very hands-on, others are more strategic. I’m trying to understand what actually makes someone effective in this role. Is it experience, personality, or something you can learn?

It feels like there’s no clear answer, and everyone seems to have a different style.

From what I’ve seen, being a strong sales team leader is more about how you support and guide your team rather than just your own experience. The best leaders I’ve worked with focused on developing their people instead of just pushing targets. Over time, they created a more motivated and productive team. That’s something you can definitely learn, especially when you start treating leadership more like coaching rather than just managing.
