Later, he learned Koryu Shinto Tenshin-ryu from Kaminaga Shigenami. In 2004, he received a PhD in Physical Education from the National University of Mindanao. After half a century of training, he has established a wide range of martial arts from a historical perspective of Ryukyu, including Karate, Kobudo, Kinna-jutsu, and Kyusho-jutsu.
