Requirements
● Learners need to have a good understanding of the requirements of ISO/IEC 17020:2012 and have access to the currrentt 2026 version of the standard (which we are unable to provide for copyright reasons).
Description
This course covers the changes between the 2012 edition of ISO/IEC 17020 'Conformity assessment - requirements for the operation of various types of bodies performing inspection, and the new 2026 version of the standard which was published at the end of March 2026. The course is detailed and technical in content as it is designed for practitioners who have a good prior knowledge of the 2012 version to enable them to identify the changes and particularly additional requirements contained within the new standard. The course includes a graphical representation of the new standard to assist with understanding of the requirements as well as a full gap assessment and spreadsheet tool to be able to conduct your own gap assessment. The course can be used to demonstrate completion of a full gap assessment to the new standard to accreditation body assessors. The course is designed for ISO/IEC 17020 quality managers who need to manage the transition to the new standards and internal and external auditors to upgrade their skills in auditing to the new standard. Participants will need to have access to a copy of the new ISO/IEC 17020:2026 standard as we are unable to provide this in the resources due to copyright reasons.
