Description
This presentation is for anyone who has been tasked with "Hey, I think we should have an internal employee company conference! YOU can do that right?". You might be in marketing, HR or people teams, an executive asssitant, or any other position - and you haven't done this before.
We'll go through all stages of planning from the first "yes let's plan this" to "let's do it again next year!" after you've succesfully planned and experienced the first conference. We will cover setting goals for the event, defining key details, researching and sourcing venues, building your agenda, managing all logistics from tech checks to check outs, and discuss how to manage the event during the week of. Finally we'll cover gathering feedback and reconciling budgets, before getting ready to plan for the next year's event.
This course includes several templated documents to help along the way, including the Conference Planning Workbook, with a number of tabs and formulas to help you organize the information. We've also included tips and tricks to make you look like a seasoned professional - and what to watch out for so you don't fall into common pitfalls. You'll leave with a deeper understanding of event planning principles, vocabulary, and best practices, as well as plans for a great first company conference.
