Why do some TikTok videos get deleted later?

I saved a bunch of TikTok videos a while ago, but now some of them are just gone. Is that normal or am I missing something?

This actually confused me too because you naturally assume that once something is saved, it stays available forever. But TikTok content is more fragile than it seems — creators delete videos, accounts get removed, and sometimes posts are restricted or taken down. So even if you saved it, you’re still relying on the original video existing on the platform.

Hi all! I’ve seen the same thing happen more than once, especially with older or trending clips that disappear later. That’s why I stopped depending only on in-app saves and started keeping important videos separately. With SnapTik, it became easier to store copies outside TikTok, so even if the original video disappears, I still have it saved locally.
