Season 49, Episode 08 - The roadshow travels to the medieval fortress Caerphilly Castle in south Wales, where treasures uncovered by our experts include a vinyl single by legendary rock band Led Zeppelin which was never released in the UK, a personal, handwritten letter from Albert Einstein, and a trio of paintings by Nigerian artist Akinola Lasekan.
Ronnie Archer-Morgan is excited to come across an intricate Egyptian scarab beetle necklace that is over 3,500 years old, while Katherine Wright is delighted to find a ballet-inspired Sèvres figurine whose owner haggled it down from £5 to £4 at a car boot sale.
Duncan Campbell discovers a stunning Chinese silver tea set brought home by its owner from Shanghai in the 1930s, while Eric Knowles is thrilled to see a rare piece of Swansea porcelain among a collection that had been packed away in boxes for 50 years.
Presenter Fiona Bruce explores the towers and battlements to learn about the history of Caerphilly Castle and its formidable defences, and her antiques knowledge is put to the test by Ben Rogers Jones when he challenges her to put some beautifully carved lovespoons in order of value.
